Brand Strategy & Design

Your brand is the story of your business

When your customers look at your business, what do you want them to think? Whether you want them to think you’re a fun or premium brand, within the first moment they see you they will create an opinion of you.

We will work together to create a full brand that looks at how you want customers and gets to the root of your business and what it stands for, so it is a simple decision for them to choose you.

My Process

Introduction
& Questionnaire

It all starts with my bespoke questionnaire, that has some probing questions to better understand your business and customers.

We then have an initial phone call to go through the answers and what they mean for the brand and ideas.

Research
& Ideas

The research phase looks at your competitors and customers.

I also ask you to put together some pictures you love on Pinterest, from photographs to shop fronts. Anything you find inspiring.

Mood
boards

I create three unique design boards based on the first two stages. These really look into the brand design and the different directions that would work for your customers.

We then choose one board to move forward with and develop into a final brand.

Brand
Guidelines

Once we have tweaked the mood board, so it is perfect, I create your brand guidelines, which outline all you need to know about your brand design.

Plus, I send you all the final files on a USB.

Design
& Print

You can choose design elements of stationery of online graphics to be designed and printed if required.

For example business cards, icons or Instagram templates.

It Only Takes Six Weeks

Brand design from the initial questionnaire through to when you receive your business cards in the post takes only 6 weeks.

Why Me?

I specialise in creating feminine branding design, that can help your business convince both new and current customers to trust in you as a business. I only take on a limited amount of projects each month, to ensure they get the attention they deserve.

We work together, rather than just me making all the decisions, so that we create something perfect for your business. That is why the questionnaire and research stages of the process are the most important.
Plus, with three initial design concepts, we can really get to the root of what works for your business.

She listened to what I wanted my brand to say and did it flawlessly

I have worked with Lydia Rose Designs for many years. She listened to what I wanted my brand to say and did it flawlessly. Not only is she an incredible artist, graphic & web designer she is easy to talk too and understanding about what makes my business tick. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lydia

Frequently Asked Question

Do you take payment in instalments?

Yes, I have two ways to pay.

  1. Over 12 months: I take the payments over 12 months. There is an extra 10% surcharge for bank fees.
  2. Three instalments during the project.
    1. 10% before the project starts to book my time.
    2. 50% after the initial mood boards
    3. 40% when you receive the final brand guidelines.

What paper do you use for printing?

A wide range of papers are available for your stationery. The standard papers I use are 400gsm silk for business cards, 150gsm for compliment slips, 300gsm for postcards and 150gsm for flyers.

If you want to know more about different types of paper and the costs, we can talk through all of the options.

How many colours can I have?

You can have as many colours as you like, however I tend to recommend a maximum of 6, to ensure your brand doesn’t get overwhelmed.

Your brand colours, usually include 1 darker tone, 1 medium tone, 1 lighter tone and 1 font colour as a minimum.

What fonts can I have?

You can have whatever font you would like. If you have any in mind, let me know in the initial chat, so I can make sure it’s on your mood board design.

I usually choose from Google Fonts, as they are free for commercial use, so there’s no extra cost for you.

However, if you are looking for something a little different I can advise on licensing costs.
