What paper do you use for printing?

A wide range of papers are available for your stationery. The standard papers I use are 400gsm silk for business cards, 150gsm for compliment slips, 300gsm for postcards and 150gsm for flyers.

How many colours can I have?

You can have as many colours as you like, however I tend to recommend a maximum of 6, to ensure your brand doesn’t get overwhelmed.

Your brand colours, usually include 1 darker tone, 1 medium tone, 1 lighter tone and 1 font colour as a minimum.

What fonts can I have?

You can have whatever font you would like. If you have any in mind, let me know in the initial chat, so I can make sure it’s on your mood board design.

I usually choose from Google Fonts, as they are free for commercial use, so there’s no extra cost for you.

However, if you are looking for something a little different I can advise on licensing costs.

Do you take payment in instalments?

Yes I do. Payment is taken in three stages: 10% is required when you book me for your branding, 40% is taken on completion of the mood boards and final 50% is taken after I produce your final brand guidelines and stationery designs.

How long does it take?

From initial conversations to completion is around 3 weeks. This includes a 2 days response time from you. If this over runs, it may delay completion. The timelines and date will be outlined in our agreement so we can arrange these for when you’re available.

Website Design

Can't I create my own website on Wix?

Creating a website that represents you and what you do as a business can be difficult by yourself. There are lots of systems out there currently that help you to do this alone, such as Wix or GoDaddy, but they are never quite what you had in mind. Often the cost of running them is quite high and the customer service and support isn’t always there when you need it.

What are the ongoing costs?

What I provide is a really affordable solution. The monthly running cost for a website starts off around £3.59 a month. That’s it. £3.59. No extra charges for emails or 24/7 support from the hosting company, that’s all included for you.

Can I manage my own content?

Yes! A key part of what I do is provide you with a website that you can manage yourself so that your business can really grow. All the websites I produce are built on WordPress, one of the best content management systems out there.

If you are looking for on-going support I can help with that too. We can talk through your requirements and come up with a plan that suits your business.

Will it work on mobile?

All the websites I build are responsive, so they can be used and viewed on any device by your customers to ensure they get the best experience possible when they come to your website.

How long does it take?

For standard websites, from initial conversations to completion is around 6 weeks. For e-commerce websites, from initial conversations to completion is around 8 weeks.

This include 5 days response time from you. If this over runs, it may delay completion. The timeline and dates will be outlined in our agreement so we can arrange these for when you’re available.

Will you train me?

I spend a couple of hours training you on the key parts of your website so you can keep it running and update it whenever you need. I also have a few handy guides I can give you, to help this process along.

What if I have more than 15 pages?

That’s absolutely fine. £750 is the base price for the website and extra pages are £25 each. Included in your 15 pages will also be templates for any items you might need lots of, like blogs, so don’t worry about paying for each of them.

What if I have lots of product types?

You can have as many product types as you like. We can talk through your full e-commerce needs before we start to make sure everything is covered and created.

Who is the payment provider?

The standard payment provider set-up is Paypal, however if you have another payment provider such as Stripe or Sage Pay, these can be integrated.

What systems do you use?

I use WooCommerce running on a WordPress CMS. There are quite a few reasons for this, but the main one is ease of use and the flexibility to create whatever you need, which isn’t always possible on other systems, without a high cost.

How do I load new products?

A product page template will be created for you, so it’s easy to use and manage. I will also give you guides and training on how to upload your products.

Print and Graphic Design

Does the cost per hour include printing?

£25 per hour is just for the design work side of the printed materials. As there are so many printed options, we go through that together and I will quote you a price.

How long does it take?

As long as your brand guidelines are up to date it doesn’t take too long. For a business card it usually takes around 1 hour and a flyers takes around 2 hours.

What can I get printed?

Whether you’re looking for external signage or business cards, I can help you get it printed. We can also talk about different ideas and things that are slightly out of the ordinary, if you’re looking for something unique.

How do I know what my business needs?

It’s really hard to know what kind of marketing you need, it completely depends on where you customers are. That’s where I can advise you make sure you spend your money to get the best results

How much will adverts cost?

It completely depends. Facebook adverting let’s you start from as little as £5, where as display has a minimum spend of £50. I can help you understand what the cost of running any online advertising would be, but also the positive impact it would have on your business.

What is strategy planning?

Strategy planning goes through what you want to achieve as your business, we talk about budget and then finally create a plan of what you should be aiming to do over the next 3 months.

Do you have on-going marketing support?

Yes I do. Starting at £190 a day I offer you 1 day a month that is solely dedicated to planning your business strategy with you. That could be advertising planning, social media strategy or creating a content plan with you. It means that you have someone to focus on your marketing, whilst you deal with all the orders. If you require more days, they are priced at £190 a day per month
